That's where it started. Bella Had actually saw it. She was in love with Jacob. She loved him more, then Edward. And he hasn't gotten over it. Edward already knows he can't find another girl like Bella. Because there wasn't one. Edward would just have to mope. Meanwhile, Jacob has already imprinted on Bella. Meaning she doesn't have to be a vampire. She can be a human, greyhaired with Jacob, sitting on their porch, watching their granchildren. She wont have to be with a cold pale, vampire, with no blood and heart.
Edward went to the Volturi to die, but Aro refused to waste his talents. Intrigued by Edward, and his reasoning for wanting to die, he decided that the Volturi would leave Volterra, for the first time ever, and come to Forks. Upon finding Bella, with knowledge of Vampires, yet still fully human, they decided to stay, and also discovered the wolf pack. The Volturi are making a decision about what to do, and everyone is on edge. With Jane and the gaurd lurking about Forks, and hunting close to town, the Cullens are uneasy, and the wolf pack blames them for bringing the Volturi to Forks. A single incident will send everyone over the edge, and into a war. And Victoria, an ever present threat knows that, and is prepared to use that to her advantage. Soon enough, Forks will be just an incident away from disaster.
