HISTORY:
Born in Rio de Janeiro, during the night of october 31, Maria was the youngest daugther of Bruno and Clarice Sant'Anna, the couple already had a 14 year old son, Maurício, who accepted the younger sister pretty well. Both parents were doctors and the family lived pretty well, that is, for more 3. When Maria was 3 and Maurício was 17, their parents were killed by a criminal who stole their cair on their way home.After that she was raised by her borther.

For a longer time she lived happily, and grew up happilly with her brother taking care of her.He worked as a archeologist and one day he brought back to her a scythe, it was huge and well crafted scythe that became her birthday present.She was growing up into a gorgeous woman and her protective brother was soon turning jealous as she began discovering the world and her biggest love: arts.

But, like the greeks say, no human has the right to be happy. Once again destiny showed it's powers. when Maria turned 18, a group of strenge guys appeared after something they called Innocence, claiming that it was on the scythe.What nobody knew was that the Innocence, along with the scythe, were already connected to Maria. That is, until the Akuma attack. They attacked the house the group from the Order, Maria and Maurício were in, everybody managed to escape from the first attack. Before the second, the finders saw the connection from Maria to the scythe, the Innocence and tried to explain to the siblings the situation. But, during the second attack things went bad, Maurício took an attack directed to Maria and died in her place. On his last words he wished that she went with them, she would be safer and she should look to the future.

Maria did as she was told ans was soon leaving with the group of finders, heading to the Order. But little did her brother know that she would still be in danger, heading to something much bigger than her. And that she also would never forget that day.
