CHAPTER ONE: The Black Order The Black Order is a society made up of exorcists, researchers and other people in related fields helping to keep society safe. It is an organization funded by the military and the Vatican who's soul purpose is to exterminate Akuma as they come into the world. The organization recruits exorcists, teaches them how to harness their innocence, and sends them on missions to kill the opposing Akuma made by The Millennium Earl.
The Black Order has branches on several continents such as Asia, Australia and Africa making it easier for them to find Akuma and rid of them while Headquarters is located in London, England.
Exorcists call Headquarters their home, for once they are recruited into The Black Order they are 'forgotten' by the rest of the world. Exorcists are restricted from seeing family, and upon death The Black Order refuses to submit any records of death. Rather they report them as missing in hopes of keeping the deceased exorcist from being made into an Akuma from a grieving family member or friend.
Departments In The Black Order
Science Department
A major department in The Black Order which consists Scientists who work on figuring out everything there is to Innocence. When a new exorcist enters The Order the Science Department helps them make the best of their Innocence. The Science department are the creators of Talismans which Finders use when hunting out the location of Innocence to help project them from Akuma attacks. A major project in the Science Department is the recreation of Innocence however they have so far been unsuccessful in this area.
Intelligence Department
As the name says this department in The Order works on gathering information on past events and current events. The most under cover and secretive department in The Order they are set up almost anywhere recording sightings of Akuma, the situation around the world and giving information on any new possible Innocence.
Medical Department
The medical Department in The Black Order is a vital unit of the organization. Without them The Order wouldn't be where they are. Only the most notorious and highly certified Doctors, Surgeons, Medical Researchers and Nurses are employed by The Order. Exorcists are always under good care with the staff team which are on call 24/7 for any emergencies. Surgical practices and some health practices are questionable though due to the fact not all medications and procedures work when done humanely due to the different chemical make up in an Exorcists genes. Anesthetics and other narcotics are non-compatible with Exorcists and their Innocence and in most cases deadly.
Security Department
Responsible for protection, defense and other aspects in The Order involving security this department does their best to keep Headquarters locked down. With the knowledge and sense of security from the highly certified Security Department it is nearly impossible for any Akuma to enter Headquarters and impossible without special help for any common Human to enter. The Security Department is not just stationed at Headquarters but they also have stations in towns across the world. At these stations they look out for the common man, and do their best to protect them from Akuma attacks. Among this they have also invented many Special Defense devices such as restraints to help keep enraged Exorcists under control.
Diplomatic Department
This section in the Order is responsible for negotiations and gaining favor from countries and stats. By gaining favor from countries and stats they help The Order gain resources such as housing, land to build more branches, medical supplies, and technology. It is thanks to this department that The Order is able to expand across so many countries.
Logistics Department
The Order needs it's transportation and means of transit and that's what this department does. They organize how an Exorcist will get around from place to place on missions and also supply them with what they will need to finish their orders. Logistics is also responsible for supplying Exorcists with information such as strategies and ways to defeat Akuma in the area they are occupying.
Signal Department
This department could also be known as the communications department. In this department they are responsible with making sure an Exorcist's Golem and other technological devices are working properly. They take all calls and inquires that come to The Order. Among this they also control and monitor The Orders internet network and information in their databases.
Finders
Supporters of the Exorcists, and members of the Black Order. They are sent to scout out places where an Innocence may be located, and if the chances are high, they call in the exorcists. Their uniform is a light yellowish outfit with a hood. They carry a telephone on their backs. The only method Finders have of protecting themselves is the creation of a barrier using what appear to be very large flashlights. When several Finders use the lights in conjunction the barrier can stop almost any number of level one Akuma. The lights can also be used offensively by several finders focusing the beam on an Akuma which traps it in a barrier.
The Black Order's Technology
Golems
Much like that of a modern day robot except with a bigger heart, much less mindless and a bite Golems are a helpful device given to Exorcists when out on missions. These Golems are used to help Exorcists communicate with Headquarters and keep them updated on news dealing with their missions. Golems are equip with built in cell phones and internet giving Exorcists easy access to informational resources. Their outsides are a hard shell exterior, and though they may seem sturdy Golems can expand to be 10 times their actual size - which is that of a golf ball - serving as a means of storage. They most commonly store Innocence after it's been obtained then take it back to Headquarters.

CHAPTER TWO: Exorcists The Chosen Ones by God, or also known as the Apostles of Innocence Exorcists are humans capable of using Innocence with a Synchronization ratio. Upon syncing with their Innocence they then use their Innocence in the forms of Anti-Akuma weapons to bring death to Akuma used by The Millennium Earl. Exorcists are members of The Black Order and are what The Order exists for.
Exorcists wear a uniform to symbolize their allegiance to The Order. This uniform used to be black with silver lining, however since upon re-locating to a new Headquarters their uniform has changed to be black lined in red. The uniform is not just to signify their position in The Black Order but also used to draw out the Akuma, so they know who to target rather than regular civilians. However this is not it's only use for the uniform serves as a sorts of identification between human and Akuma. Without the uniform Exorcists wouldn't know who to attack, but the uniform as said draws out the enemy.
Types of Exorcists
First Generation
The true Exorcists. Exorcists who are First Generation Exorcists are ones who are compatible with Innocence upon birth. They are the natural disciples who have not been made artificially.
Second Generation
These are Exorcists who have been artificially created by The Black Order in an old science experiment which since then has been put on halt. It is said to be known at one point The Order was low on Exorcists compatible with Innocence so they would take the brain from a deceased Exorcist and put it in a substitute body. After doing so they would force the new artificially made Exorcists to try to Sync with Innocence. Second Generation Exorcists seem to have a faster healing rate then The First Generation due to their altered genes. The experiment never worked out well however for during the many years only one Second Generation Exorcist was created successful - Yu Kanda.
Third Generation
Part Exorcist part Akuma. Third Generation Exorcists have been altered from the womb to take on Innocence as well as have Akuma cells. The creation of Third Generation Exorcists has been far more successful then the creation of The Second Generation. Third Generation Exorcists are made from womb cells. This Generation also has an accelerated healing rate however their lifespan has been shortened greatly due to mass genetic altercation.

CHAPTER THREE: Innocence A strange material left by an ancient civilization which, if compatible with a person, can form into the weapons Exorcists use to stop the Earl. The Earl's plan is to prevent the revival of the Innocence by searching for a special piece of Innocence called "Heart"; once he destroys it, the rest of the Innocence will also be destroyed. There are 109 units of Innocence scattered throughout the world, but only 22 Apostles of them have been found. Most Innocence have taken different forms after the Great Flood. Innocence is what is used to create Anti-Akuma weapons and all Exorcists and equipped with these due to being accommodators of Innocence.
Types of Innocence
Parasitic
The rarest type of Innocence. The Innocence actually dwells inside of the exorcist's body and transforms a part of the exorcist into a weapon. Although it may look like a part of the human body when not invoked, it is actually made up of a completely different cellular structure. The spot that the Innocence resides in the wielder's body is usually marked in a way that, to a bystander, resembles a deformity. Basically, an exorcist with a parasitic Innocence becomes a weapon. An exorcist with a parasitic type is able to use their Innocence to practically full-potential and the weapons can adapt to the exorcist's emotions and "evolve" to a new weapon. This has been shown by Allen's and Krory's innocence.
Parasitic types can also heal the corroding virus from the Akumas' bullets, as long as it is an internal infection. Although the weapon might transform a certain part of a person's body, the innocence can increase an accommodator's agility and overall physical strength, shown through Allen's increased speed when his weapon is invoked, and Krory's increased agility and speed. Parasite-type exorcists require high amounts of food and nutrients to sustain themselves, as they are technically eating for two. It has been revealed that Parasite-type exorcists have a shorter lifespan than Equipment-types due to their Innocence taking a much larger toll on their body than an Equipment-type user's Innocence would.
Equipment
The most common type of Innocence. The Innocence are forged into external weapons that are easily adapted to their Accommodate. Exorcists who have equipment type Anti-Akuma weapons tire less easily than those who fight with a parasite type weapon, but they have the additional weakness of not being able to fight if they are separated from their weapon. It is also much more difficult to use their Innocence to its full potential. Because the Innocence is not physically in contact with its Equipment-type Accomodator, the Exorcist cannot control the weapon as well as a Parasitic-type can.
Crystal
So far there is only one of this type of Innocence. This new kind of Innocence is an evolved form of the equipment type, something that has never happened in the order's entire history. Lenalee's Innocence evolved during the Level 4 Akuma attack, after she drank her Innocence causing the blood in Lenalee's legs to bleed outside of her body and form new Dark Boots. Later the Innocence reverted into a small crystal ring on each of her legs formed of her blood. Kamui explained that they are not part of the body like a parasitic type but respond to Lenalee's emotions as if it was. Since they are made by Lenalee's blood it is possible for them to quickly repair themselves as long as Lenalee has blood in her body making it dangerous for her to overuse them.

CHAPTER FOUR: The Noah Clan The Noah Family consists of fourteen human descendants of Noah who have inherited his genes. It was originally believed that they were the descendants of a single individual known as "Noah", but it is later revealed that there was originally a clan of 12 members. The Noah clan claim to be the original ancestors of all humans after the Great Flood, and that all humans possess "Noah genes." Every era, the Noah are resurrected through reincarnation to assist the Earl.
A Noah can be identified by a gray skin tone, yellow/gold eyes, and a horizontal line of seven cross-shaped stigmata referred to as holy marks. Like Akuma creatures, they base their powers off Dark Matter, the opposite of Innocence, and as such are vulnerable to Innocence. However, since Innocence and Dark Matter are weak against each other, the Noah can also destroy Innocence by merely touching it. All of the Dark Matter powers of the Noah are very powerful, far surpassing those of the Akuma. Unlike normal humans, they are immune to the blood virus of the Akuma blood oil.
The Noah share an inborn drive to kill Exorcists, but otherwise possess unique will and mindsets. "Carved" on their genes is a memory of one of the original Noah and a "true name" different from any member in their generation and possess a supernatural ability. They claim to be immortal, though in actuality just haven't met anyone strong enough to kill them. However, it is only the Noah's human body that dies after suffering enough physical trauma and that the Noah will reincarnate into another body.
Who Works For Them
Akuma
The main army of the Earl of Millenium are creatures called Akuma. Akuma vary in size, appearance and abilities, depending on how evolved they are. Akuma are created through the mixture of machine, soul, and despair. When a loved one has died and the living still mourn for them, the Millennium Earl appears at their side. He asks for their cooperation to bring back the soul of their loved one and places it in a special mechanical body that the Earl had created. It's only once this is done that the mourners realize their terrible mistake. Once they bring back their loved ones by yelling out their name in front of the mechanical body, the Earl orders the mechanical body to 'wear' their resurrector's skin by killing them.
The soul inside of the Akuma has no freedom whatsoever, and is doomed to follow the Millennium Earl's orders for all eternity unless it is freed by destruction from an exorcist. Cases of self destruction possible by direct command from the Earl or Noah members simply destroys the soul rather than freeing it whatsoever. The Akuma are really soldiers in a war for Innocence against the Exorcists. They hide in the human world by taking over a human's body. It appears that after a while, most akuma upon reaching past level 1 or so cannot remember their original human identities. Only Allen can distinguish between Akuma and humans with the power of his cursed left eye.
Akuma have various levels and the highest seen yet has been a level 4. However higher levels may exist as it has been heard before that The Noah are planning on creating a new human race from fully involved Akuma after the current race and populace of humans are exterminated.
Skulls
Almost like servants to the Earl and The Noah Clan skulls are responsible for watching over The Earl's Akuma plant and the Egg itself. These creatures resemble defleshed humans who wear simplistic clothing. They are mostly scene in black and purple robes. Skulls are made very similar to that of an Akuma, by using a human body and their brain. Skulls will determine whether a human brain is suitable to become one by casting a spell that engulfs the human in a cocoon of dark matter, then transforming them into a skull. Once transformed into a 'newborn' they can be slow but through days of work and training their brain grow to be just as intelligent as a brain from a human being. They are also resistant to normal weapons, and able to take blows from bullets and other man made weapons without gaining imparities.
NOTE: Just like that of Innocence all of The Millennium Earl's minions have an ancient substance known as Dark Matter. This matter is what allows Noahs, Akuma and Skulls to utilize their powers, destroy exorcists and much more.
